PROGRAMMES
Leadership support for organisations navigating growth, complexity, and change.
-
Our organisation-wide Smart Conflict® Culture Transformation Programme builds the capability to have hard conversations across an entire workforce.
It is designed for organisations where avoidance is already getting in the way of performance. Important feedback is softened or withheld, problems are not raised with clients, damaging trust, and people hold back from speaking up when they know something is wrong. Each avoided conversation carries a financial, reputational and human cost, and that cost compounds over time.
We begin by diagnosing where avoidance and destructive conflict behaviours are showing up, identify root causes, and the factors that are sustaining them. We then upskill and equip people with practical tools, shared language and the mindsets needed to address issues earlier and handle any ensuing disagreement constructively. Finally, we help embed the learning into day-to-day systems, processes and leadership expectations so it becomes part of how the organisation works.
Every programme is built around your organisation, industry and commercial context.
DESIGNED FOR
Cohorts from 250 to 20,000 people and beyond.
In-person, live-online or via self-paced recorded elements, often combined in a blended programme to meet the needs of a diverse and often dispersed workforce.
Organisations that want practical embedding tools and the right strategy and resources to consolidate learning and support lasting behaviour and culture change.

The ability to handle conflict at work is the most underrated management and leadership skill today. Yet, almost no one is trained on how to have hard conversations well, and how to create the conditions for healthy, task focused conflict with clients and teams, and head off damaging relational workplace conflict before it begins.
Our unique, evidence-based and highly practical Smart Conflict training will give your people the tools, frameworks and language they need to master this entirely learnable but counter-intuitive skill on their management or leadership journey.
Delivered in-person, live online, or self-paced, our highly practical, interactive workshop leaves participants with greater self-awareness of their own conflict settings, and how to respond more flexibly to meet the moment, and fully equipped to successfully handle almost any hard conversations at work.
The programme combines practical skills, new mindsets and guided application to real workplace conversations. Participants learn a shared language and repeatable frameworks, practise how to use them and leave with tools that support continued application. Where needed, we also assess the organisational conditions that may be reinforcing avoidance and recommend changes to support sustained behaviour change.
DESIGNED FOR
Leadership and management cohorts from 250 to 20,000 people and beyond.
In-person, live-online or recorded self-paced delivery.
Organisations seeking practical embedding tools and resources that integrate learning into everyday work.

Often when there’s a live or potential conflict at work, the first port of call will be HR. Most conflicts can be resolved or repaired if you know how, but most HR professionals are not given the tools they need to judge when to step in and help, when to coach and support, and when to step back or step out entirely to achieve the best outcomes.
Our Smart Conflict® for HR Programme uses our unique and proprietary CRAFT framework to support HR professionals to get conflict competent, both when supporting others in disagreement and when facing into their own moments of tension at work.
Delivered in person or live-online, we use a mix of training input, role-play demos and live coaching to ensure that ‘people people’ leave feeling ready for their next hard conversation, wherever it comes from.
The programme combines specialist input, practical tools, demonstrations, live coaching and realistic practice. Participants learn how to assess a conflict, choose the right role, coach others without taking over and intervene in ways that increase responsibility rather than dependence. We also help identify any policies, processes or organisational habits that make constructive resolution harder.
DESIGNED FOR
HR, People, Employee Relations and People Partner teams
In-person or live-online delivery for intact teams or cross-organisational cohorts.
Organisations that want HR professionals to share a consistent approach to coaching, intervention and de-escalation.

Some workplace conflict is already alive and kicking and having an impact on those directly involved, and the people around them. Conflict Wayfinder is our proprietary process for unlocking damaging conflict between colleagues, in just eight hours or fewer, getting everyone unstuck and moving forward.
It uniquely combines proven approaches from mediation, coaching and our own Smart Conflict® methods to help the people involved understand what’s really happening, rebuild working trust and agree a way forward, reducing the need for time-consuming and costly formal processes.
WHAT THE PROCESS CREATES
A shared understanding of what has happened and what is keeping the conflict stuck.
Clearer responsibility for each person’s contribution to the working dynamic.
A practical agreement for how the relationship will work from here.
Reduced reliance on lengthy formal processes where an informal resolution remains possible.
Conflict Wayfinder® can be completed in eight hours or fewer, subject to the circumstances and suitability of the case.

We know that culture follows leadership, and that commercial success depends on the right role-modelling and right calls coming from the top.
If the hard conversations are not being had, the most important discussions happen after the meeting, or team tensions mean that relationships are fractured and debate is shut down, we can help.
We coach Board and Executive Teams to have the critical conversations well, to operate as a truly high-performing unit, to resolve tensions and make enduring agreements about how to work well together.
Designed for boards and leadership teams whose most important debates are happening after the meeting, whose challenge is being withheld or expressed destructively, or whose working relationships are limiting the quality and pace of decisions.
Engagements may involve a focused intervention or a series of team-coaching sessions. We usually begin with a team diagnostic and confidential interviews to understand the system around the team, not just the presenting issue. The work can include facilitated discussion, practical upskilling, the creation of clear working agreements and individual coaching where it will support the team’s progress.
DESIGNED FOR
Boards, executive teams and senior leadership teams anywhere in the world.
